44th joint FAO/UNECE Session of the Working Party on Forest Statistics, Economics and Management

The forty-fourth joint FAO/UNECE Session of the Working Party on Forest Statistics, Economics and Management will be held from 31 May to 2 June 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland.
This Joint ECE/FAO Working Party is a subsidiary body of the Committee and the Commission and contributes to the implementation of the Integrated Programme of Work of those two bodies. It coordinate the Teams of Specialists and the activities of the Integrated Programme of Work as well as providing technical advice.
It takes instructions from COFFI and the Commission and meets annually to:
- Provide guidance on the implementation of all areas of the Integrated Programme of Work;
- Supervise the work of Teams of Specialists and facilitate the exchange of information on their work; and
- Identify priorities for action and relevant emerging issues; and transmit suggested priorities and specific recommendations to COFFI and the EFC for consideration.
