UEF Position Paper on Bioenergy

- and the important role of foresters to ensure an optimum use of the energy ressources At the Governing Council Meeting in Denmark (30th August) the member organizations agreed upon a Position Paper .
It will be necessary to increase the use of wood as a regenerating raw material in order to meet the increasing demands for energy without increasing the CO2 emissions at a similar level.
Professional foresters are able to ensure an optium and increasing use of wooden energy ressources and at the same time make sure, that they are still produced in a sustainable manner.
