The first UEF workshop on Forest Pedagogy

The first workshop on Forest pedagogy took place during the period 19-23 October 2015 at Yundola, Bulgaria.

The event was organized in collaboration between UEF, Union of Bulgarian Foresters, the Bulgarian Executive Forest Agency and the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture and Foods.
During the 5 days training the 4 students from AgroSup Dijon Sud - Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique, France and the 24 practitioners from Bulgarian regional forest directorates and Forest enterprises were acquainted with the basic knowledge and skills for organizing and leading of forest educational activities for kids.
The participants were also able to put into practice their knowledge by organizing and leading own forest excursions with kids from the local school.

The training, organized by Anna Petrakieva – UEF assistant secretary was led by the UEF secretary Thomas Baschny and Wolfgang Schweighofer – leading experts on Forest pedagogy in the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management.
