UEF GCM and CAP after 2013

Monday, October 17 , 2011 4758

Very good days and GCM in Cyprus!
I want to thank you all for the good meeting in Cyprus with good decisions and perfect arrangements around our meetings and excursions! Our colleagues in the member organizations in Cyprus did a fantastic job!
Congratulations to Herve Nemoz-Rajot, who is our new Vice President, Thomas Baschny, our new Secretary and a special welcome and congratulations to our new Presidency member and Assistant Secretary Anna Petrakieva! This is a great team for UEF and its member organizations.
In a few days the material for the social issues in the EU Forest Action plan will be sent out to you all for comments. Before that I want to modify the paper a little on basis of the good discussion we had about this item at the GCM.
Please be informed that the European Commission's proposals for a reform of the CAP after 2013 have been published on the europa.eu website under the link: http://ec.europa.eu/agriculture/cap-post-2013/legal-proposals/index_en.htm.
Because I know that many of you are interested in this matter, for example looking for national money, which is obligatory in the cap financing, I send out this information to all our members.
Best regards,
Håkan Nystrand
President Union of European Foresters UEF
