The UEF Assistant secretary Mårten Gustafsson participated in the last F-BI Expert Group Meeting

The UEF Assistant secretary Mårten Gustafsson participated in the last F-BI Expert Group Meeting, that took place in the end of June this year. For another time the meeting was organized via internet, but the commission decided that the next one will be a physical one.

For another time the meeting was mostly update on the subjects in agenda, as members of the group were mostly informed about recent development on packaging directive and what EC does on industry sector. R&D is important as well as smart use of raw materials.

The need of coherence was also mentioned again, but no real discussions and decisions were taken.

A topic of discussion was also a presentation made on the Nature restoration low, as several stakeholders made comments on it. Most of the participants expressed their sceptical pont of view.

A good presentation was made by CEPI and CEI-Bois about what the sector is doing, without the support of the European Commission.
