UEF Workcamp excursion week 09 – 17 July 2016 in the Forestry Office Kastellaun Germany

The new UEF summer Workcamp for students in forestry will be again this year in Germany, in the forest district of Kastellaun (Rheinland-Pfalz).
This workcamp is organized by the Forest service "Landesforsten Rheinland-Pfalz", in cooperation with UEF and SDW (Protection society for German forests).
The intention of the workcamp excursion week is to get to know together with young forestry people from many different countries the forest and the forestry conditions in Rheinland-Pfalz and Germany, to exchange information and experiences and to get to know the region and people with the same interests.
As program are planed forestry excursions and events to the following themes:
Getting to know the woods of Rheinland-Pfalz and Germany, general forestry in Rheinland-Pfalz and Germany,
Methods and aims of woodland management illustrated by chosen examples, natural forestry methods and new
Cultivation models, geology, natural conservation in Germany, environmental education and public relations work.
