Finnish Forest Students visited German Forestry in April 2015

After one year break in a long year lasting tradition UEF and METO managed to organize a fieldtrip for MEOL students in 2015 once again.

In April 2015, from 12 to 15, some Finnish forest students from different parts of Finland, guided by Tiina Eklund, visited the Forest district of Kastellaun in the Western part of Germany for four days.

Broadleaf silviculture, windmill on forest stands, nature education by foresters, the local culture and history and a visit to the Rhine valley were the main topics of the excursion about the main topic: "Forestry and climate change".

The students were fully satisfied.

See you again next year in Germany.
